Dan Jenkins is founder and manager of The Grapple Hook Group, Inc. He has almost two decades of experience with marketing and sales of industrial and safety products and services.
Dan obtained his MBA in Marketing from the University of South Florida and his BA in Industrial Arts from California State University, Chico. Additionally, Dan earned his secondary teaching credential at California State University, San Francisco. He has taught over 22 marketing courses as an adjunct professor at universities including:

Crane Tech 2001-2006
- Initiated and successfully implemented “Manager’s Guide to Mobile Cranes and Rigging” seminar series.
- Recognized by, and interfaced with United States Department of Interior, Minerals Management Service (MMS) to craft federal offshore crane and rigging standards.
- Selected by American Petroleum Institute (API) and MMS to serve on planning committee for National Offshore Crane Conference.
- Selected and performed rigging safety presentation to 85 industry professionals for Willis Insurance – Construction Division, the nation’s largest construction insurance company.
- Secured Crane Tech’s Subject Matter Experts to provide technical presentations at industry specific events for API – National Offshore Crane Conference, National Petroleum and Refinery Association, United States Department of Energy – Nuclear Facilities Managers, Shipbuilders Council of America and International Association of Drilling Contractors.
- Initiated and worked with team to land national safety consulting and training contract with Shell Oil
Brulin Corp - 1997
- Successfully introduced and sold “Solvent Alternatives” to skeptical industry to replace products acetone, MEK, and vapor degreasers.
- Initiated and awarded product specifications from PPG, Dow Chemical; GE Silicone, Florida Power
University of Tampa - 2008
- Successfully met requirement to teach college for Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB)
Crane Inspection & Certification Bureau - 2010
- Secured Subject Matter Experts to present at conference of Nuclear Power Plant lifting and safety managers for Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI). Initiated and helped secure writing of Lifting Manual for EPRI.
